Through my tears
I have come to feel
pain and loss
mourning and grieving
I have also know
love and happiness
and light and stars
but the sad thing is
happiness comes in small waves
and sadness comes in tsunamis
so before i can be winded
by my life's sudden change in course
i become numb
instead.
